Hola, everyone! Today’s read is all about a spontaneous getaway escapade from the busy and fast-paced routine I normally have. Mum just got back from her travel and woke me up on a Thursday morning with a “get up, we’re going out of town!” We headed out to the capital of the country and found myself checking in one of the most luxurious hotels in the sand pit! The moment we got to the valet, we were welcomed with hospitable staff. Their service is definitely top-notch that they upgraded us to a deluxe room for free, overlooking the Yas Marina Circuit and where the boats are!

“Viceroy Hotel is a 5 star Luxury Hotel & Resort on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island”

The hotel is located on Yas Island, a very accessible one if I must add. Easy access (providing shuttle bus, if you need a free ride) going to Ferrari World, Yas waterworld, Yas beach club, Yas mall, and Yas Marina links!

For our little family dinner date to catch up and chitchat, we treated ourselves with some fancy authentic italian goodness. Aaaah, it was amazing. Almost forgot my name whilst indulging in a couple of assorted bread, garden salad, lasagna, and pizza! 9/10! Only because the serving was quite small for the price. Did not get what we paid for, portion-wise, but I guess that’s what we get for eating in a fancy-arse restaurant. Haha!

The next morning started with an international breakfast buffet at the hotel’s The Origins Restaurant. The only time I love waking up really early is when there’s good food waiting. My tummy was definitely excited for this one. After having our heavy breakfast, we decided to hit the Yas Beach Club, which we had private access to from the hotel. A little paradise found in the island. I would go back during a cooler time, I highly recommend visiting the beach club.

and because a one night stay is impossible for me to document every corner of the humongous hotel whilst enjoying my stay. Credits to the main website; viceroyhotelsandresorts.com for the photos!

My overall experience left me not wanting to leave as of yet! Although reality waits. The hotel and resort is not your typical tropical paradise, but that’s what I like about it. It was a different vibe, a unique concept. I would definitely want to go back to wander and experience what I missed out on, because like I said, it was a really big place. The service, food, room, ambiance, and everything you would expect in a hotel experience is a 8 out of 10 for me. Only because I didn’t find a sauna and jacuzzi out of the spa. Also because the water sports located at the public Yas beach was very far from the Yas beach club where we had access to.
